Pelvic Floor Disorder

Vaginal Atrophy & Dryness

A common problem in postmenopousal women. This is a thinning of the vaginal walls as a result of a lack of estrogen, with a resultant shrinkage of the vaginal canal. The effects of this include, vaginal dryness, irritation, painful sex or inability to have penetrative sex. Genital atrophy can also lead to bladder irritation symptoms like urgency and frequency. As a result of so many women having quit estrogen after the recent negative media coverage, the incidence of these problems have soared.
